Victoria Park Academy is part of the Victoria Academies Trust educating over 450 pupils and employs over 60 staff members. The Academy serves a thriving multicultural community where there are over 40 different languages spoken by a broad range of pupils. With a growing demand for Wi-Fi in schools the Academy was faced with a challenge to maintain its popularity and reputation as leader in education. The existing system had a dozen unmanaged Netgear Access Points in place that did not provide full coverage; consequently the Academy struggled to deliver the required output. Staff and pupils were unable to benefit from the vast ICT available and this was a hindrance to the teaching and learning. With this in mind we contacted a number of companies for a viable solution to our problem. We found that Network IT 24 were able to provide the best and most cost effective solution with Ruckus Wireless.
Since the successful installation over 500 users are benefiting from the lightning speed provided by Ruckus as well as the outstanding coverage. We now have a strong, stable and secure wireless network that is able to support the use of over 250 mobile devices, 6 laptop trolleys and over 15 classrooms simultaneously. The staff and pupils have noticed a huge improvement and are significantly progressing in teaching and learning respectively. The new system effectively manages our usage without causing any disruption or problem. The Victoria Park Academy has future proofed its wireless network by using Ruckus and we have guaranteed a fast, reliable and campus-wide WiFi network for our staff, visitors and pupils. We’re pleased to have benefited from the professional, supportive and Ruckus accredited partners Network IT 24 and certainly look forward to working with them again in the near future to further enhance the ICT of our Academy.
“Network IT 24 have done an outstanding install of the Ruckus Wireless System. There have been no issues with the new wireless network and the overall service and support provided is second to none.”
